After years of intensive research, funds to build the first Dutch biodiesel plant with its own pressing installation at
the Eemshaven were obtained early in 2006. The contours of the first Biovalue installation took shape rapidly after
building started officially towards the end of 2006. After a building period of several months, the plant was taken into
production in August 2007.

Biovalue now has 26 employees and the installation is fully operational. We can produce some 80,000 tonnes of
biodiesel annually at the Eemshaven, but PVO and rapeseed cake are also among the products that Biovalue
customers transport by ship or truck and sell throughout Europe.
